Problem with i-star

we are inserting records simultaneously into a local and remote database using i-star . the local machine is running ver. 5.07 on SCO Open Server 5 ( with applied patches up to oss449a) ,the remote machine is running ver. 5.01 on SCO 3.2 V4.2 . the software checks if the link is up between the two system before the insert ,when the local machine does the insert ,the local machine dies with k-trap kernel trap error .
