Aliases on Update
Hi,
I'm using the Informix Universal Server 9.14 uc6.
I'm trying to use aliases on UPDATE in the same way as I was using on
SELECT. The manual (Informix Guide to SQL: Tutorial Version 9.1)
says on pg 12-6
that it's possible ("You can specify an alias for a table name in a
SELECT or UPDATE statement...").
The SELECT work fine for this:
SELECT t1 FROM table1 t1
WHERE function(t1) = 'abc'
I was trying to use the UPDATE with an alias but I've got
a syntax error.
UPDATE table1 t1
SET t1.f1 = function( t1)
Did someone have similar problems and managed to over take?
