We have been using ADSM 2.1.6 with Informix 7.21 and Informix 7.22 on AIX 4.1.5 and AIX 4.2.1. We have encountered no problems restoring from whole system backups. When we try to restore all dbspaces from from a dbspace backup, we encountered two problems: 1. Onbar unsuccessfully tried to restore the "temp" dbspaces. 2. Informix never completed Fast Recovery. These problems did not occur when we specified a file containing the dbspace names. This file excluded the temp dbspaces from the list of dbspaces.
