Informix BUG?

Informix users, Is the following a BUG or a "feature" of Informix 5.0? I have 3 tables (not NULL terminated) : Order, Leg and Market. I have also 3 typedef defining a structure corresponding exactly to the record structure of each table (ORDER, LEG and MARKET). An instance of those 3 structures have been declared to ESQL (order, leg and market). If I code the following select statement : $select O.* L.* M.* into $order, $leg, $market from Order O, Leg L, Market M where O.order_number = "00010001" AND L.order_number = O.order_number AND M.market_code = L.market_code; normally, the record from order must be in $order and the same for the leg record and market record. But, I saw that the order record is 'splitted' into $order, $leg and $market, the leg record is splitted in $order and $market,...
