Changing DBSA from root to informix

When I create a databaseserver IDS, as root (oninit -i -y), then root is the
DatabaseServerAdministrator. Can I change this to be Informix DBSAer without
rebuilding new databaseserver?

Update systmaster tables? :)
-Me think not...
I'm ready to be (postitivly) suprised, but the only way to change ownership
for a table is to recreate it - so why should this be easier...

First, user 'informix' is always the IDS SuperUser and has dba
permissions on all databases created within the server so it does not
matter whether you initialize the server as informix or as root.
Now if you mean that you subsequently created a database in that server
instance (ie CREATE DATABASE....) and now the database and some or all
of its tables are 'owned' by root, you cannot change the owner of a
database nor of a table. You CAN, however, grant DBA privelege, as
the owner (ie root) or as informix (remember this is the superuser)
to another user. If you want informix to have DBA privelege you should
not have to do anything but you CAN grant informix explicit DBA
permissions (SELECT * FROM sysusers; to verify who has DBA
permissions).
