I'm fairly sure that you have /usr/ucb on you PATH ahead of the SparcWorks compiler directory. The ucbcc message implies that quite clearly. Or, possibly, either the CC or the INFORMIXC environment variables are set and are causing the wrong compiler to be executed (since you're using make, it could be that you've run make with the -e option, or you have e in the MAKEFLAGS environment variable). Or you have a symlink to /usr/ucb/cc ahead of the SparcWorks compiler in your PATH. Something along those lines... I can't see why ucbcc should be complaining about those two files. It would be worth checking to see whether they do exist where stated and that they are not empty or inaccessible (no permissions).
