The manual says to not use scroll cursors for this reason - has anyone worked around this? It seems that in the SQL product, when you "run" a form, you are using some kind of ready-made scroll cursor for "Next" and "Previous" on the menu and yet if you "Remove" the current row it is gone from the active set also. I think I have seen the following question before: using the input array statement, I prompt the user "Are you sure?" if they hit the delete key to delete the current row of the array. If they say yes, fine, but if not then is the only recourse to dump out of the input array altogether to avoid the delete? There seems to be no way to back out of a delete. I believe there is a new text datatype in the 4.00 products when using an ON-LINE engine. In my little DOS apps though, with the older products, I constantly have the need for at least a small text memo to go with a database record. Has anyone managed to achieve maybe some kind of simple word wrap on a form using a group of char fields? Just using a half-dozen char(80) fields without wrap is not convenient for the user to edit.
