Informix sessions hang !

I would appreciate it if someone would give me a few pointers to the problem below: We are on solaris 5.5.1 with informix 7.22 running r4gl apps. Every now and then we get a user session that freezes up. A "ps" shows that the user is running the prog and the time is clocking up. An "onstat" shows the the user is in cond wait(sm_read), locked mutex. Again any help would be appreciated.
