Hi,
any solutions for the nearly well-known problem ?
>> Cannot make dbexport directory <<
but a dbexport directory is made but left empty...
Greets,
Andi
Hi.
This looks like RedHat7.0 specific problems.
I had test Informix 7.30 on Redhat 6.0 and IIF-2000 on Mandrake 7.1 and
7.2 without any problems.
Good luck.
Sergey.

There is something wrong with fileutils.
Try this patch for fileutils
http://ftp.linux.cz/pub/linux/people/jan_kasprzak/fileutils/
or use package from rawhide
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/rawhide/SRPMS/SRPMS/fileutils-4.0.36-1.src.rpm

The nitpicking details are that there are two bugs, one in Informix code and one in the fileutils code, and it requires both to get the bad behaviour. The Informix code is running the mkdir command with no stdin, stdout or stderr; the mkdir code is trying to close stdout and failing, and then reporting this as an error condition. Ugh! (And what's wrong with the mkdir(2) system call anyway?) -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
