Informix Sql AutoCommit

I am working with the informix_sqli JDBC driver, and I am trying to run the mehod setAutoCommit(true/false), I have some problems whith it, but I would like to try to use directly an Statement.execute(), whit an sql statement. Could anybody tell me how to write in sql a command to set the autocommit in false or true ?.
