Installing HPL modules without XWindows behind a F

We are trying to install 4 new HPLs on a SUN 5.10 server using Informix 10.0.UC6. We can't ssh from a workstation because the server is behind a firewall. We've tried using an XMENU. Any recommendations? I was thinking of performing manual surgery, but don't know if that will work and it's risky. You can run the install with "-console" and it will not require X-windows. Art Art S.
