Informix and NIS

We have Informix 5.0 running here on HP-UX 9.04. The problem is that Informix does not want to check to see if users are in NIS. Does Informix have their own routine for checking the passwd file? If so, WHY?!?! Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. -- Tom Charles tom@delcoelect.com
