The problem is caused by the number of pictures, which seems to be limited. The size of the pictures appears to be no problem. We had the same problem and solved it by removing some pressPics. Another thing to obey ist that objects of different windows which contain the same picture should have the same name, because then they counts as ONE. We have many windows in the same style (there's a save and a stop button and we called them all PB_save and PB_stop). In the .rc-files the entries are all the same: PB_save78 <filename>. RC.EXE seems to create just one reference to the picture then. The limitation seems to be in RC.EXE for which i didn't find a help file in the Visual C++ distribution. If someone has one, please mail it to me as the described solvings are just workarounds. -- t_beuke@tob.prima.ruhr.de
