The main reason: Error in tbtape - YOU CAN NOT RESTORE a backup, when it involves multible tapes and BLOBspace. After working 1 1/2 month to prove the error to INFORMIX (we made the same error on IBM, SUN and SNI), they have accepted it as an error - wauuuh - CONGRATULATIONS !!!. They were also so kind to ask me if I want a patch immidiately or if I just want to wait until the next release ??. Can you believe that ... before they know where the bug is and how many customers it involves. If you want to play with 7.1, remember (as always) to run a REAL backup/restore.
