Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

1. Create and index on the DATETIME column
2. You can query rows quickly using just the DATE part of the column.
2.1 Use the DATAVALUE() function if using VB
2.2 Use the DATE() function if using 4GL or ESQL/C to strip the time part of
the column.
We use DATETIME YEAR TO SECOND in all our applications, but nearly allways
have to report based on date ranges. No problems at all once you have an
index.
