ontape and being bad

On previous versions of OnLine it has always been possible to automate ontape so that it can run unattended by redirecting its input from a file. Now with version 7.11 it seems to insist that somebody is there to press the Return key before the archive will start. Has anybody got automated ontape running with 7.11 Online (Solaris 2.4/2.5) PS I am not worried about the overrunning the tape as there is only 10GByte to back out and its a 50GByte tape.
