Informix was married to a WRONG husband! Divorce would be the only
choice to get better life! I do not understand why SUN, HP... missed
the opportunity, what a loss!

Yes, Tambi I agree to that. Informix would be more alive than it
is
today if it still were a company of it's own.
I think it would have been much better if HP or EMC would have
bought
Informix. Unfortunately in 2001 those companies where not as
much
interested in software than today. I think that both companies
would
have done a much more professional marketing for Informix than
IBM does
today and they would perfom TPC benchmarks with IDS.
Unfortunately we have no time machines yet and have to live with
the
situation. There have been a lot of promises regarding Informix
Marketing from IBM in the last months and you
know: hope dies last -:)
