Remote connectivity v5 and v7

Hello everybody, I have a query regarding connecting to Online engine from a 4GL application running on remote host. In v7, it is no problem as I can access the SAME Online instance using different protocols(shared mem,TCP-IP,etc.) by defining DBSERVERALIAS in the ONCONFIG file and making equivalent entries in sqlhosts file. How would I go about doing this in Online v5 ? I beleive that you require a seperate licence for I-Star product. But can I access the same Online instance from my local host(over shared mem) as well as from the remote host (over TCP-IP) or would I have to create a seperate OnLine instance for each protocol to be used ?? There is no DBSERVERALIAS parameter available in v5. TIA, Sandeep Soneja
