Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

1. Try direct compile and linkage with esql:
esql -o foo foo.ec
or
2. Try the following calling sequence (extracted from a Makefile)
esql -e foo.ec
cc -c -I$(INFORMIXDIR)/incl/esql foo.c
cc -o foo foo.o \\
$(INFORMIXDIR)/lib/esql/sql.a \\
$(INFORMIXDIR)/lib/esql/gen.a \\
$(INFORMIXDIR)/lib/esql/os.a \\
-lsocket -lnsl
(-lsocket -lnsl are needed on our SVR4 system. Maybe -lsocket is all
you need to add under SunOS)
