Two questions: 1) Is there anything already in shared memory? Check using ipcs and remove using ipcrm. 2) Do you have the right port? I experienced the exact same problem trying to install 3.2.5 software on 3.2.4.2. Er, *three* questions, ... :-) Is your SHMMAX (I think it's SHMMAX- the default would be 524288) set to 2048*1024 (=2097152)? This often helps... :-) HTH. Tread with caution, I'm at home a using rusty RAM for these "insights" :-) -- Ciao, Billy +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Billy Wheeler Junior Programmer / Director The West Solutions Group | +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | (E) billy@west.co.za (U) http://www.west.co.za/billy.html | +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | "No, Woody, I said _TUCK_ the kids in bed..." | +------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
