I-NET 16 bit using PPP connection

I am trying to connect to Informix 5.04 running on Sun Solaris 2.4 using ppp connection from a windows 95 winsock.dll. I am getting a -932 error/getservbyname(WSANODATA). If I am using a network connection from the same box the ILOGIN will work. The server I am connecting to could not be ping or telnet.
