I haven't produced a new FAQ since November, but I've nearly completed converting the entire thing to HTML (ie: The World Wide Web) format. I've also added lots of new information. I hope to get it available to the planet within a week. Here's the pointer: 0.2 How can I get the latest copy of the FAQ? ---------------------------------------------- 0.2.1 anonymous ftp -------------------- The latest version of this document can be retrieved via anonymous ftp. Get a copy of: informix.faq.Z and: informix.apx.Z from: kcbbs.gen.nz in the "informix" directory or: mathcs.emory.edu in "/pub/informix/faq" You can drop the .Z suffix if you want an unCOMPRESSed flat ASCII file. 0.2.2 World Wide Web --------------------- Bert Barbe (stud01@cc4.kuleuven.ac.be) has put the HTML version of the FAQ on: URL http://cc1.kuleuven.ac.be/student/informix-faq.html . He bravely offers: Let me know if I should post it or mail it to someone... BTW: This is an OLD version of the FAQ. It may also be available at: http://www.visionware.co.uk/informix-faq.html. 0.2.3 comp.databases.informix ------------------------------ I post the FAQ to c.d.i on or about the 8th of the month. Soon it'll appear in comp.answers and news.answers too. 0.2.4 email ------------- If you don't have access to FTP try using a FTP-by-mail server. Send a message with "help" in the subject line to the nearest one of: ftpmail@decwrl.dec.com ftpmail@sunsite.unc.edu ftpmail@doc.ic.ac.uk ftp-mailer@informatik.tu-muenchen.de ftpmail@grasp.insa-lyon.fr ftpmail@cs.uow.edu.au 0.3 Who do I complain to? -------------------------- Comments *please* to: Kerry Sainsbury Home: +64 9 276-5546 kerry@kcbbs.gen.nz (preferred) Quanta Systems Work: +64 9 377-4473 kerry@quanta.co.nz Auckland, New Zealand Fax: +64 9 309-5684 GMT+12 --------------------------------------,------------------------------------- Kerry Sainsbury, kerry@kcbbs.gen.nz | THE INFORMIX FAQ Quanta Systems, Auckland, New Zealand | kcbbs.gen.nz:/informix/* | mathcs.emory.edu:/pub/informix/faq/* +64 9 377-4473 (work) 276-5546 (home) | quasar.ucar.edu:/?
