No. I can tell you that I've done it between an Ultra Enterprise 4000
and a Sparc 20 with Online v7.13. In fact, as part of contingency, I do
it every night between two Sparc 20s on v7.13, but using a dump to
disk. Have you definitely got an identical path for rootdbs on machines
A and B? Are you sure there are no other messages, perhaps in the
OnLine log?
One suggestion; if your instance is small enough, direct the ontape -s
to disk and ftp the archive over. See if that works.
Are you using DLT? I've had some problems with DLT, and now Informix
have decided that dumping to DLT is not supported, and won't help me!
