One strategy that we are looking at is a combination of the HP tape autoloader and Informix On-Archive. On-Archive does not support the autoloader at this time, so we will look at controlling things via a script: step 1 - write dbspaces A,B,C to tape, step 2 - skip to next tape step 3 - write dbspaces D,E,F,G,H step 4 - skip to next tape ...
