mSQL >> Informix

Does anybody have any experience with going from mSQL to Informix? mSQL will give me a dump of SQL statements (CREATE TABLE ...., INSET INTO TABLE ...). I'm using that as a shell script to feed the data into my Informix DB: dbaccess mydb - >>END CREATE TABLE ... INSERT ... INSERT ... END But when I try to put all the data in, I get line overflow and bad character errors. What characters need to be escaped for Informix? What's the max line length of an INSERT?
