We currently utilize DB/Cockpit to set up alarms, etc. for our Informix instances. This utility is obsolete as of 9.30. Is there any package that replaces the functionality of oncockpit (besides BMC) or do I need to write one? There's always DBAmon. I've updated it to work against 9 engines, but it's not fancy. It's a basic loop that performs tests and checks the results against thresholds to determine what to notify the DBA of. I sent it out a bit ago to a few beta testers, but never heard back anything and I've never bothered to follow up. cheers j. -.-- --- ..- / -. . . -.. / - --- / --. . - / .- / .-.. .. ..-. . .-.-.- / ... --- / -.. --- / .. .-.-.- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Zablatzky, ...." <Wayne.Zablatzky@ubs.com> To: <ids@iiug.org> Sent: Friday, November 14, 2003 7:21 AM Subject: Monitoring after upgrade to 9.30 [2178] > > We currently utilize DB/Cockpit to set up alarms, etc. for our Informix > instances.
