EXTERNALE Functions in EC

I need a hint to use EXTERNAL FUNCTIONS which contain ESQL/C-Code. C-Functions are no problem, but if i want to include a function from a esql/c--shared object i always get error "undefined symbol: SQLCODE". I included sqlca.h and there SQLCODE is defined. The compiled executable works fine.
