Dear Netters, some programs of our application running with INFORMIX 2.1 (TURBO) on an SNI MX 500 (Siemens-Nixdorf) are breaking with sqlerr -408. If I do an dbexport, I get the same error. The programs are written in an 4gl called ROSI. I have reorganized the databases by clustering to the relevant indexes but that had no matter. *** Is there a chance to stop these errors by tuning the buffer size of the phys. and logical logs ?? BTW: the application is installed on ca. 100 systems, and only on two systems the error occured. On These systems the databases are very huge (for the system and the application). We change to OnLine and another hardware in 6 months, but our users need help now! Thanx in advance, Klaus. -- Dipl.-Inform.
