Exceeding max # of pages (Actual 31, Allowed 20) t

I loading alot of cisam flat files into Informix . I am running Informix 12.1 on AIX 7.1 and i get the following error Exceeding max # of pages (Actual 31, Allowed 20) that can be physicall y logged in a critical section while critical section blocking is active. Any help would be appreciated

I've never seen this error. What were the SQL and ISAM error codes? How were you loading the data? By ISAM files do you mean .dat files or extracted delimited text files? Art Art S. I believe this error is only a warning. It should= be called into Informix Support, but if the system does not crash the = physical log will not be used and you should have no issues. = You can probably avoid some of these by either increasing the size of y= our physical log or improving your checkpoint performance. Your= checkpoints are blocking and the I/O can not complete in a reasonable a= mount of time before your physical log has to much activity. Hop= e this helps, John F.
