Ever heard of the "Rainbow" vacuum cleaner? It's basically a 'power bong'. It sucks dirt into a water bowl, thus trapping the dirt in a bowl of water, and the remaining air coming out of the water is just air, without the dirt. Unfortunately it's a direct-market product, never sold in retail stores, and patented too, but you won't see it much if at all anymore. A classic case of great technology that was never marketed properly. It is a superior method to simply sucking dirt into a dry bag. Superior technology but hardly marketed. Inferior dry-bag vacuum cleaners have dominated the market for one reason only, great marketing.
