After I run statistics any system table update

Hi All, Please let me know if i run statistics using below command after I have completed statistics any system table is getting update UPDATE STATISTICS FOR TABLE <Table Name> Version: 11.50 FC9 Thank you Regards Baskaran --001a113490fa5e866304edf2b37d

If you just run that command, then only systables, syscolumns, and sysindices are updated. If you want data distributions to be created in sysdistrib and/or sysfragdist, then you have to run UPDATE STATISTICS HIGH ... or UPDATE STATISTICS MEDIUM ... Please read the Informix Performance Guide section about update statistics and implement the set of statements recommended there or get my dostats utility which does this for you automatically. Dostats is included in the package utils2_ak which you can download from the IIUG Software Repository (www.iiug.org/software). Also note that if you are using Informix version 11.xx or 12.10 then there is a task manager task that automatically updates statistics for you each night.
