What is NETTYPE

I don't understand how the NETTYPE parameter affects the performance of the db and how I must configure it, is it necessary to define it in the onconfig file? what is the diffrence between the NET and CPU NETTYPE, It's not well described in the Informix literature... Thank's for the answer... kbg -- __________________________________________________ La meteo par le Web : http://www.meteoconsult.fr Meteo Consult - Bureau d'etudes meteorologiques Domaine de Marsinval F-78540 Vernouillet, FRANCE Karim BEN GHANEM - mailto:kbg@meteoconsult.fr Departement Informatique tel : +33 1 39 65 80 80 - fax : +33 1 39 65 80 96
