Funnily enough I just finished doing this myself this morning -
You need to alter the kernel tuning parameters as described in
$INFORMIXDIR/release/en_us/0333/IDS*.* . I found the document a little
amibiguous but you have to change all of them from SHMMAX to SEMMSL on
that first page. These parameters can be altered in /etc/conf/cf.d/stune
- if a particular parameter is not in there then you should add it - the
keys and values as separated by tabs. You can then install the changes
in the kernel with either /etc/conf/cf.d/link_kernel, the idconfig utils
or via scoadmin ... it will warn you that the SEM* values are out of
the recommended range but ignore that.
When you have done this and rebooted your system the IDS will start OK.
