Functions with "restricted sql"

Hi all. I know some restictions about the sql DML use on prodedure/functions writed with SPL. This restrictions denied the use of functions/procedures from selects if those procedures/functions have update/insert/delete statments. In this cases you use the procedure/funtion via EXECUTE PROCEDURE/FUNCTION. Well. My question is: If I rewrite this procedures/functions with other supported language like C or Java(I prefere Java) the restriction continue? Environment: OS -> Solaris 9 IDS -> 9.4.UC4 with J/Foundation (32 bits, it`s incredible but IDS 9.4.FCx with J/Foundation not exists for solaris ?'?'?') Thanks. Isidre Pons
