Re: user administration question

In our system we have three administrators -- 1. The UNIX administrator adds the user to the UNIX system. Rights are granted using groups. He uses SAM on HP-UX or edits the passwd file directly. 2. The Application Administrator adds the user to the Application. Rights are granted using security levels. She uses a 4GL application to do this. 3. The DBA grants access to the database. However, we use public as default, and only have to manage developers and UNIX command line access users, which account for less than 1% of the user base. She uses sql commands to do this. --------------------------------------------------------------------- In article <shl9-171195105130@128.253.249.126>, shl9@cornell.edu (SteveLutter) wrote: >We don't have Informix at this time, but I have a question concerning the >externally administered users.
