way to determine success of Lev1 ontape backup?

Hello everyone. I know basic question. Is there a query, a tool (IE: onmonitor
or onstat etc) that will show with absolute certainty whether a IDS 9.4 Lev1
ontape backup finished successfully? I mean without the use of shell script
log output (which in my case is unreliable)? Thanks
Hi,
one way is to use "oncheck -pr" (as user informix).
It prints the root reserved pages. The last set of pages
is the archive pages (PAGE_1ARCH & PAGE_2ARCH).
This will give you information about the levels of archive
that have been done, the time and logical log position.
Regards,
Martin
