If you cannot replace the hardware, and if you used symbolic links for the chunks, you can create space elsewhere on the server, create the symbolic links to those spaces, and then restore from archive. Sorry for the run-on sentence. If you don't have backup tapes and spare disks to replace broken ones, you are in big trouble. IDS 7.13 has been out of service for over 10 years, I believe. It was never certified as Y2K-compliant (7.24 was the earliest certified Y2K-compliant version). According to the web site http://www.softwaredevelopment.ca/fyios.shtml (which also lists AIX, RedHat Linux and MS o/s service dates), HP-UX 10.01 was released in July 1995, became unavailable after October 2000, and reached end of normal support life in June 2003. I suspect the hardware is of a similar era and similarly on its last legs. You need to modernize your system urgently. I believe similar advice has been given to you before - outside the context of "something broke". But if you manage to get help, you can reasonably expect people to want lots of money to assist you, because you are way outside the bounds of normal operation.
