This is a bug in SPL. ON EXCEPTION inside stored procedure in just ignored if this stored procedure was called from trigger. It took me a long time to prove Informix that this is a bug not a feature. And the answer was that because it is difficult to fix, this *feature* will be documented in future. There are 2 case numbers for this bug - 121513 and 27935. Add pressure on Informix to convince them that this bug must be fixed Sergei ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: trigger, rollback, stored procedure Author: PC:frivalla@soleil.univ-lr.fr at INTERNET2 Date: 6/5/96 3:19 AM hi how can i insert data in a table (to retirve some details about the error) ,in a pl/sql stored procedure , after a raise exception (the insertion is just after the raise exception) when this stored procedure is fired by a triggers.
