RAIDs on large data bases

There are currently some significant discussions taking place on comp.databases.oracle and comp.databases.ingres about the use of RAIDs on large databases requiring really fast I/O. These discussions should also be of a lot of interest to Sybase and Informix users. There are, of course, also the regular RAID discussions on comp.arch.storage.
