Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Jeremiah asked where to download dbaccess for IDS 11.7. Plugge, Joe R. and scottishpoet replied that it is not standalone but ships with the engine, in $INFORMIXDIR/bin after installation. Art Kagel suggested client-side SQL tools: sqlcmd from the IIUG repository, Squirrel SQL, the OAT SQL editor or Server Studio. Answered.

Dbaccess comes with the engine. It is not a standalone product as far as I know.

If you want an SQL editor/query tool for client boxes, you can get the open
source sqlcmd from the IIUG Software Repository (www.iiug.org/software) or
you can try Squirrel SQL (http://squirrel-sql.sourceforge.net/). Another
option is to use the SQL Editor in OAT (www.openadmintool.org/) or the one
in AGS's Server Studio (www.serverstudio.com).
