Raghu, If you have not tried this, it might help. I think you would still need Informix desktop connectivity product (CLI) which as the native Informix driver (I-Net). I use CLI for most third party products that require a ODBC connection. CLI has both the I-Net and ODBC driver and comes free with your database. You still can install CLI to use I-Net alone and use whatever ODBC drivers you want to. To be more specific you should use CLI ver 2.x.Txx (for example CLI 2.5.TC1), where the T stands for NT or 32 bit. Does not matter if you are not planning to use the built in ODBC driver that comes along.Check with your Informix SE for the compatibilty with servers, and(or) release notes. After Installing CLI, you should use setnet.exe to setup your connection to the Informix database. Then define your data source by configuring your ODBC driver, by using the 32 bit ODBC administrator. Some insides on configuring setnet.exe is that when defining your connection always use the tcp port number as in your /etc/services file (depends on the tcp stack you are using). Some additional tips are that on the server side you should have a tcp entry in the sqlhosts file and there should be a port number associated with that tcp entry in the /etc/services file. -Sudhir Nair Chief Database Specialist- R&D Endura Software Corporation (Formerly FourGen Software Inc) 115 NE 100th Street Seattle WA 98133 Reghu R.
