I would like to know why the ´options´ command is not working equal when you work with Informix version 4 and version 7. Does anyone know if there is any solution to this problem ? main open window w1 at 3,3 with 15 rows, 40 columns attribute (border) options display attribute(dim) display "DEFAULT DIM" at 1,1 options display attribute(bold) display "DEFAULT BOLD" at 2,1 options display attribute(reverse) display "DEFAULT REVERSE" at 3,1 -- with 7 it does not display in reverse, with 4 it does display it display "DIM" at 5,1 attribute(dim) display "BOLD" at 6,1 attribute(bold) display "REVERSE" at 7,1 attribute(reverse) sleep 10 end main Thanks in adavance -- Evelio Martínez Office: +34 96 374-47-02 +34 96 374-47-03 programacionaf@sinix.net

It would seem that someone painstakingly setup a termcap file for Informix 4 in $INFORMIXDIR/etc with the correct attributes. The 7.xx installation has only the vanilla termcap file. Rename the 7.xx termcap file, in case it has something useful to you later, and copy in the 4.xx termcap file you have been using all along. Art S. Kagel

Kagel I have not tested what you are proposing but I suppose that Informix use the content on shell variable $TERMCAP that it assigned with the same value under v.4 and v.7 in SCO 5.0.4. isn´t that right? I shall try what you suggest but I do not think that will be the reason. thanks -- Evelio Martínez evelio.ml@ctv.es Tel: +34 96 365-13-48
