need advice for a new server configation

hi folks, We tried different kind of tuning for our server which host about forty databases accessed by Internet. But the performance is degrading. the cpu seems overload . At last, we plan to change our server. Actually its configuration is : sun Enterprise 250 (UltraSPARC-II 248MHz) with solaris 2.6 and 256 Mb RAM. Our future configuration will be almost de same but cpu which will be 400Mhz. The server will host more bases in the near futur and the connection from Internet will certainly increase. Any suggestion will be welcome. georges
