Are you using a 32-bit version of MS-Query? The way that datasources are stored by ODBC divides them into 16-bit and 32-bit datasource groups. If you access ODBC from a 32-bit app, you only see the 32-bit datasources. If you access ODBC from a 16-bit app, you only see the 16-bit datasources.
