ESQL/C and isqlt70c.dll
Posted in 1997
Forwarded for a co-worker: I'm building a C DLL that is linked with ESQL/C's isqlt70c.dll and will be used by VB applications. In order for VB applications to call functions in a C DLL, the functions must be exported using the correct calling convention, which means that the C DLL needs to be compiled with _stdcall calling convention. It seems that the isqlt70c.dll is compiled using _cdecl calling convention, which is the default calling convention in C. The C DLL can only be successfully compiled with same calling convention, which is _cdecl. The VB applications can not use the built DLL. My question is: Does Informix provide different interfaces for isqlt70c.dll ? (Or, what do I need to do in order to compile my DLL using the required _stdcall calling convention ? ) Thanks Sherri Frank Catrine Director, Informix Services The Ross Group (800) 734-9304 francis.catrine@fmr.com
