I don't know what error 126 means exactly, but check the following: - set permissions on the Registry key HKLM\\Software\\Informix - use program REGEDT32.EXE - grant Full Control to the IUSR_machine user - make sure that the connection string has *ALL* of the Informix settings - Example from my ASP: "DSN=SystemDSN;UID=user;PASSWORD=passwd;DB=dbname; HOST=hostname;SERV=sqlexec;SRVR=server_name;PRO=onsoctcp;UID=user;" The SRVR is the DBSERVERNAME from $ONCONFIG. The UID is necessary twice - not sure why... Good luck -----Original Message----- From: lzalewski@my-dejanews.com [mailto:lzalewski@my-dejanews.com] Sent: Thursday, March 18, 1999 5:35 PM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: ODBC connection error 126 via ASP Help!! I'm at my wits end... I'm trying to use the INTERSOLV 3.11 32-BIT INFORMIX 9 drivers with my web site via ASP pages. Whenever there is a connection attempt made, I get the following error: MS OLE DB Provider for ODBC error '80004005' Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 126 (INTERSOLV 3.11 32- BIT INFORMIX 9 ). I've checked the registry, set up the permissions correctly the INFORMIXDIR is defined.. I've run REGCOPY.exe my path does have c:\\informix\\bin in it... SETNET32 is working fine, I'm able to connect to the DB using the Ilogin demo... WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??? (Sorry, just a little frustrated!) Any help will be GREATLY appreciated! I'm about ready to ditch Informix and put MS SQL 7 in it's place! Does this matter? Thanks, Sven Eric
