NEWERA -- lookups

I am using QBE to retrieve records from a master table onto my window. Works fine! However I have 8 lookup fields on this window (business class, status, agent address, area name, cost centre name etc). After retrieving the master record I do 8 separate lookups in the beforerow event for each of these fields as I traverse the dataset. I am told that this is inefficient and should do the lookups in one large initial SQL statement. However I still need to preserve the where clause set up by the QBE. Any comments and how best to go about it using the wif. Thanks -- Mike Ripley
