IDN News Groups (was ODBC to Linux connection. Error -956?)

I am able to access both newsgroups: news://www.informix.com/informix.idn.linux news://www.informix.com/informix.idn.dynamic4gl and I can do so both at the office (admittedly in the Menlo Park HQ, not a regional office such as Portland where Joshua works), and at home (from my Earthlink account). Note the correct name -- the news: protocol and the www.informix.com host name. Trying to vary these will probably *not* work.
