Boris, Earlier this year we tried the exact same thing... 4gl (4.15), Gnu C compiler, Solaris 2.5.1, etc..... The GNU compiler did not work properly for us. (I honestly cannot remember exactly what all of the problems were, but we quickly (2 wks) went to the SparCompiler C.) However, we had another problem once we obtained the new compiler.. Random core dumps for our 4gl code. We had to fall back to 4.14 tools instead of the 4.15 tools. (Memory Allocation errors, etc....Ye olde memory leak?) Good luck...
