Re: Recommendations on hardware for informix wanted

Recommendations on hardware for informix wanted Meg, 29-Jun-94 OK I am willing to say, that Data General machines today are fast as Informix OnLine servers and they are also very reliable. The tech. people at Boston and at other locations can solve difficult problems and they can talk with each other and ... I could continue with nice comments etc. I will on the other hand not write info about hardware vendors, who was not able to do the job. It is possible to list more than 100 musts and wants for a database server, but if I should do it very short, I would list 3 points: 1 Performance. 2 Reliability. 3 Tech. support. You might select other points as well.
